In your Easter bluebonnet
April 03, 2010
with all the frills upon it
you’ll be the grandest lady
in the Easter parade.
I’ll be all in clover
and when they look you over
I’ll be the proudest fellow
in the Easter parade.
Have a happy Easter!

Love your Central Texas Easter parade! Have a great holiday.
Wow, a lot is going on in your garden. Happy Easter!
What a delight; you had me at the bluebonnet, of course (I continue to have bluebonnet envy). Happy Easter/spring to you and yours, Pam.
My first bluebonnets bloomed today, too, just in time for Easter.
Love your parade – Candy Corn is a show stopper. Ditto on the bluebonnet envy – Happy Easter!
I got so mad at my next door neighbor this morning because of bluebonnets. They had let the side of their yard “go wild” and I was watching the bluebonnets begin to sprout and grow. I just know they were going to bloom in the next day or two. Today, as I was watering, we waved over the fence, and they said to avoid their side yard for the next few days, as they had just sprayed some nasty stuff all over the wild jungle that was growing! I was devastated!
Enjoyed your post, Pam. What a great photo of your ‘Marilyn’s Choice’. Have a wonderful Easter!
That’s the trailing ‘Candy Corn’ abutilon, Amy, not the ‘Marilyn’s Choice.’ —Pam
We had to sing that song for a spring PTA concert when I was in elementary school, oh so many years ago. Now it will be stuck in my head.
Happy Easter to you as well!
The very best bonnets, bar none, are those found in Texas each spring! Happy Easter to you and yours, Pam!
Lovely post.
Happy Easter xxx
My goodness you have so many lovely flowers blooming. We are still in the daffodil bloom stages. Happy Easter to you too.
Beautiful, I love this song!! Happy Easter..
I would love to see the Texas bonnets in person~~They look wonderful. Happy Easter to you. gail
Beautiful spring flowers. It must be amazing to have a Screech Owl nesting in your yard! We have Barred Owls here and occasionally get to see them up close.
Great photos for the lyrics!
Hope you’re having a Happy Easter!
What beautiful blooms! I love the landscape photo with the container in the foreground. Gorgeous!
Lovely! Your crossvine is blooming now? Maybe mine is in too much shade.
Hi, Kathleen. My crossvine is in full bloom in mostly shade; my mother-in-law’s in SW Austin, in full sun, is in full bloom also. Maybe your garden is just a bit colder than ours. —Pam
Happy Easter! Love that bluebonnet.
Hi Pam,
Thanks so much for visiting my neglected little blog and leaving the comment. You’ve inspired me to keep it up!
Yes, voodoo is a theme that keeps reoccurring in my creative endeavors.
I am just now planting seeds as it is too chilly and wet to do much else. Thank goodness for the indoor plants, to keep me busy until it’s time to work outside!
Love your flower pics, particularly the bluebonnet. Reminds me of childhood in Texas! Cheers and thanks again!
Delightful blooms you have in your garden! Hope you had a blessed Easter. Have a great day!
Morning, So happy to find you, a fellow Texan and a gardner. I am not a gardner, so I am planning on getting lots of tips here. I have add you to my list of Texas bloggers and would love to have you come by and check us out and follow along.

Oh, my daddy used to sing that song. Sweet sweet memory and precious post.
