Fishy Friday

March 05, 2010

Ghost plant looking gorgeous in late-afternoon light
I’ve been working every spare hour on the sunburst patio around my stock-tank pond, and my back and legs are sore from moving so much stone, sand, and gravel.

The fish are probably wondering what’s going on.

    Can’t wait for the unveiling.

  2. Ewa says:

We – here in Poland – are also wondering, what’s going on Pam????
Go back a post of two, Ewa, and you’ll see a preview of my new path around the pond. —Pam

  3. Thanks for the update…I was worried why I wasn’t getting my regular Digging fix!

Can’t wait to see the sun shining. I bet your fish are wondering what is going on. Do you feed them at a certain time? Do they know your voice now and come to see if you have treats for them?
I’m afraid I do nothing much for them, especially in winter. They forage for food in the tank—mosquito larvae, algae, plant bits—and do quite nicely on their own. In summer I give them a fishy food treat now and then. But basically I treat them like wild birds, not pets. —Pam

But worth every ache and pain! Pam, I have a feeling, it’s going to be a great reveal~gail

    It’s a satisfying soreness though!

  7. Jayne says:

It’s a good kind of tired, isn’t it Pam?

  8. Town Mouse says:

Ah, yes. That kind of soreness is a special kind of spring fever, and I’m feeling it myself after a day of weeding, planting, and weeding. Can’t wait to see the patio!

  9. Have you named your fish?
We have only one goldfish left and she’s quite large. Wanda is the only one of our original 9 fish to escape the fisherman, Harold, our local Great Blue Heron.

  10. Can’t wait for the reveal. I am sore from working in the garden, but it’s a good kind of sore.~~Dee
