Seeds is Austin’s newest garden blog

Visit new garden blog Seeds, by Brianna in north Austin, for the latest perspective on gardening in the City of the Violet Crown.
Yes, yet another Austin garden blogger. Welcome, Brianna!
And check out Playin’ Outside, an Austin blog I’ve mentioned previously, for a great post about installing a 1,600-gallon cistern in her back yard—with photos of the monster. Man, I wish I had that tank in a tucked-away corner of my garden, what with mandatory watering restrictions almost upon us (starting May 1).

I’m still getting things set up on Seeds, so it’ll likely be changing often over the next couple of weeks.
I’ve admired Digging for a long time now. *blushes*
Thanks for the plug!
You are welcome, and thanks for having been a lurker at Digging for a while. —Pam
I almost didn’t make it back here – after stopping in on the two blogs you mentioned. I was intrigued by the water cistern and enjoyed reading about its arrival and installation.
It’s wonderful to see the thriving garden/garden blogging community there.
It’s fun to be a part of it. Meeting in person from time to time adds a new dimension to blogging. —Pam
Mandatory water restrictions. That would be awful. OKC and Edmond have some restrictions, but because I’m rural, I don’t have any (other than common sense.)~~Dee
Our watering restrictions will not be severe, and they should be easy to follow for those who have sprinkler systems on a timer. Those of us who still drag hoses around, however, will have a tough time getting everything watered in the time available. —Pam
I just don’t even know what to say about another Austin garden blogger. Does the mayor of Austin know that Austin is the Garden Blogging Capital of the World and there is a Major Gathering of garden bloggers coming to Austin this spring?
Carol, May Dreams Gardens (less than two months until GBSF!)
Good question, Carol. It is kind of remarkable. —Pam
