Spring pinks
Spring is coming along ever so slowly, although of course it’s still only February. But still — I’m so ready!
Stepping out of my car in the driveway with a bag of groceries, I spotted this blazing color echo between flowering loropetalum in the island bed and a piece of garden art I’d recently repainted from red to hot pink, and it was like shazam — a splash of spring! Never mind the freeze-dried bamboo muhly in the background. Let’s appreciate a fuchsia vision and the promise of spring.

Wow! That is really bright! And I actually like the tan haze of the Bamboo muhly grass too.
I would like to see it as an asset too, Alison. I need to put my rose-colored glasses on. 🙂 —Pam
Was that planned or serendipity, Pam? In any case, it’s a wonderful result!
Total serendipity, Kris! I repainted it from red to hot pink because I thought it would be a fun combo with the ‘Burgundy Ice’ dyckias and rusty metal container. Spotting it across the driveway, framed by loropetalum blooming the same color, was a happy surprise. —Pam
that heart really sings in its golden setting – wouldn’t be half as bling it on without the gold!
That’s a nice way to think of it, Diana. —Pam
Hot pink does warm the cockles.
Yes indeed. —Pam
