Door prizes at Spring Fling
As if the Garden Bloggers Spring Fling on April 5 could get any more fun, we’re giving away garden-related door prizes at the County Line BBQ dinner (click here for info on reserving your seat). Several local businesses are generously donating gift items to our door-prize drawing, including a garden sign and colorful carry-alls. More items will be announced soon.
In addition, we’ll be giving away a number of gardening, hardscaping, and even garden-themed mystery books. Our thanks to fellow garden blogger Nancy Ondra of Gardening Gone Wild and Hayefield for donating an autographed copy of her beautiful and instructive book Fallscaping, which, incidentally, was reviewed by Kathy Purdy, who will be joining us at the Fling.
Thanks also to blogger Susan Wittig Albert of Lifescapes for donating two books in her China Bayles Mystery series: Bloodroot and Spanish Dagger. According to Booklist reviewer Barbara Bibel, “Albert combines a fast-moving plot with the botanical lore and recipes that her readers have come to expect.” Fun! Spring Flingers will have an opportunity to meet Susan in person, as she’ll be joining us at the Wildflower Center, where she’s holding a book signing that morning.
And if you’ve been longing for some inspirational garden-design ideas, we’ll also be giving away four books from the Sunset series that I reviewed recently, each one filled with great photos and how-to instructions.
So if you’re a garden blogger who’s been on the fence about joining the Spring Fling and/or sticking around for dinner, remember that the fun’s not over until we’re staggering away from the table that evening. If you don’t want to miss out, reserve your seat at dinner today.

Okay, you’ve talked me into it. I’m coming for the door prizes! 😉
Oh, Carol, we all know you were coming anyway! And I can’t wait to meet you in person after all this time blogging with you. —Pam
Oh this just makes me cry! I’m wanting that Fallscaping book anyway, but I SO want to be there! I talked with Felder Rushing yesterday and he asked if I was going to the Spring Fling. I hated saying no. 🙁
You really can’t make it, Kylee? And you talked to Felder Rushing? And he knows about the Spring Fling? Is he coming?? —Pam
