Summer never ends thanks to flower and hummingbird sculpture
November 19, 2014
At a recent garden blogger get-together, metal craftsman Bob Pool of Gardening at Draco (who made my ocotillo bottle tree) brought this lovely flower-and-hummingbird piece he’d made as a random giveaway for our group. And I won it!
Thanks, Bob, for the generous gift! It looks right at home in my garden and will beckon the hummers in when they return from Mexico.

Lucky you – it’s just superb! Looks great with the grasses.
You lucky dog. This is a beauty.
That’s great!
I had Bob make a horseshoe armdillo for me, purchased, not a freebee. He is a real metalwork artist.
Where does Bob sell his art?
Audrey, you can contact Bob via his Draco Metal Works website. —Pam
It’s a cutie and looks right at home in your garden!
Lucky you….what a beautiful piece.
What a generous gesture – Bob is absolutely an artist. That piece looks great in your garden, I’m looking forward to spotting it in future posts.
I’m so glad you like it Pam. It really makes me happy to give away some of the stuff I make when it goes to such special people like we have in the blogger’s group. I love walking through my own gardens and thinking, Pam gave me that yucca, Teresa gave me that plant, Jenny gave me that. There is so many people represented in my garden and I’m so happy to be represented in some small way in other people’s gardens.
That is one of the joys of gardening and having friends who garden — or make art. Thanks again, Bob. —Pam
