Can’t help you with what kind, but they are pretty.
Carol at May Dreams Gardens Yes, they’re pretty but not elegant. Kind of rough around the edges, like my cottage garden. 😉 —Pam
The butterflies are everywhere now aren’t they! Beautiful! They do seem to be. I saw a pretty, yellow sulphur butterfly this day too, but I didn’t get its picture. —Pam
We know the name, thanks to June- I looked through my meager resources and was feeling frustrated. That’s kind of a cute name, too. The butterflies are wet again today!
Annie at the Transplantable Rose And will be wet for days to come, the forecasters promise. —Pam
Here’s hoping my zinnias, now that they’re blooming, attract some beautiful butterflies! Thus far, I’ve seen the pale eggshell white butterflies, which I still enjoy having over for a visit. Thanks for visiting and commenting. I hope you get some more butterflies soon too! —Pam
Love those white Zinnias but, as you know, I’m rather partial to white in the garden, especially in summer. 😉 Can’t help you with the butterflies, but colourful they certainly are! Yes, I know how you like white flowers, YE. They are wonderful for evening strolls. —Pam
I just can’t believe all of the rain that you guys are getting. It’s just nuts! We are still horribly dry – I watched storms blow across the state yesterday, and disintegrate due to a strong sea breeze before getting to my little strip of land. Unfortunately, our only hope to catch up on rainfall now is for something tropical to arrive – since we’re entering the busier season with respect to those things we try not to talk about outloud.
I love your patio. Did you guys install it yourself? It looks like it was done right (you leveled the area, used filler, etc). I want to make one – did you ever post on how you did it? It’s perfect. I hope you get some rain soon, Pam. Thanks for the compliment on the patio. Yes, we installed it ourselves, and it’s held up nicely. Since you and other folks have been interested, I’ll post about its construction soon. —Pam

Maybe a swallowtail? Beautiful pictures. Of course, as I write this, it has begun to pour rain.
Seems like it pours rain every day, doesn’t it? —Pam

My sleuthing mother has informed me that they are Bordered Patch butterflies. Thanks, Mom! —Pam
You’re welcome
