See you at the Antique Rose Emporium and It’s About Thyme
Are you ready to ditch your lawn? I’ll be speaking about taking out the lawn and landscaping/gardening without it on two occasions this fall, and I hope you’ll make time to come see me. Both events are free and open to the public.
Saturday, November 2, 1:00-2:00 pm — Antique Rose Emporium
I’m thrilled to be one of the Saturday speakers during the Antique Rose Emporium’s Fall Festival in Independence, Texas (near Brenham). I’ll be giving a slide-show presentation with lots of inspiring images of lawnless yards and selling and signing copies of Lawn Gone! afterward. Make a whole day of it and come smell the roses, enjoy a food-truck lunch, and hear all the speakers including the irreverent and funny Felder Rushing. Click for a full lineup of the day’s events.
Sunday, November 3, 2:00-3:00 pm — It’s About Thyme Garden Center
I’ll be in South Austin at It’s About Thyme nursery to talk about alternative plants you can use instead of lawn and design tips for going lawnless. Afterward I’ll sell and sign copies of Lawn Gone! Location: 11726 Manchaca Rd.
I’d love to see your friendly faces!

You are working hard Pam. The great thing is it gives you the excuse to go visit nurseries. I think the photo of the garden heading this post must have been on a garden tour that I missed. It is a beautiful landscape. Did you design it?
It is a lovely, drought-tolerant, no-lawn garden designed and installed by the homeowners (not by me), Jenny. It was on the Master Gardeners tour last fall. Check out my post about Robin and Ann Matthews’s garden. —Pam
Shoot – I’ll be out of town for your talks – i was looking forward to the Antique Rose Emporium one.
I’m sorry you’ll miss the event, Katina, but you can see me any old time at our blogger get-togethers. 😉 —Pam
Sounds fun! Maybe my wife and I will get to go and I’ll finally get to meet you. Here’s hoping!
